Indian gold and silver impacted by increased import tariffs on precious metals

Gold, Silver Futures Surge After Import Duty Raised

Indian gold and silver futures jumped sharply after the government increased import tariffs on precious metals from 6 per cent to 15 per cent.

In a statement on March 31, grid operator SP Group said the electricity tariffs for homes will go up by 2.1 per cent from the previous quarter, to 29.72 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
