Some bus drivers who work in Sengkang West Depot will find it easier to get to work after moving into Singapore’s first accommodation for bus drivers. This eight-storey facility, owned by the Land Transport Authority, is connected to the depot via a turnstile.
Officially opened on June 29, it can house 234 residents in 39 fully furnished apartments. Currently, the building is at about 85 per cent capacity, with all 198 SBS Transit bus drivers from China based at Sengkang West Depot moved in here.
