Singapore’s largest Indian lifestyle shopping event is set to return this month as the Zak Salaam India Expo – Aadi Discount Sale takes over Singapore Expo Hall 5A from July 16 to 19.
Held during the auspicious Tamil month of Aadi, traditionally regarded as a season of abundance and festive shopping, the four-day event promises major discounts, cultural entertainment and family-friendly activities, reinforcing its reputation as one of Singapore’s most anticipated Indian lifestyle exhibitions.
The Aadi Discount Sale marks the 42nd edition of the Zak Salaam India Expo, which began in 2007 to develop an Indian products exhibition catering to local residents and the growing South Asian community. Nearly two decades later, the expo has successfully completed 41 editions and has become a trusted platform for businesses and shoppers alike.
Visitors can expect a wide range of authentic products from across India, including bridal wear, festive fashion, handcrafted jewellery, home décor, lifestyle products and specialty foods. Known for its value-for-money deals and exclusive discounts, the Aadi edition attracts shoppers looking to make the most of the traditional festive sales period.
Beyond shopping, organisers have lined up a host of attractions designed to entertain the entire family.
Daily giveaways, cashback promotions and exclusive gifts will be offered throughout the expo. Visitors will also stand a chance to win two flight tickets each day, with destinations including Guangzhou, Bangkok, Langkawi and Ho Chi Minh City to be awarded across the four-day event.
The expo’s popular family-oriented activities will also return. Food lovers can participate in the Aadi Utsav and Racial Harmony Dinners hosted by Har Yasin Wedding Biryani, while competitions in chess, carrom, 3D rangoli and a Bachelor’s Cooking Challenge are expected to draw enthusiastic participation. Registration for all competitions will be conducted online.
Cultural performances, live stage entertainment, product demonstrations and interactive games will add to the festive atmosphere throughout the exhibition.
Organisers say the expo has evolved beyond being a shopping fair, serving as a platform that promotes Indian culture, entrepreneurship and cross-cultural appreciation while bringing together Singapore’s multicultural community.
Admission to the expo is free, making it accessible to visitors of all ages.
