People aged 40 and above can now redeem discounts of up to $110

From Sept 18, those aged 40 and above can use their Healthpoints to redeem discounts of up to $110, to offset their MediShield Life health insurance premiums. The Ministry of Health announced on Sept 18 that MediShield Life policyholders can use 75 Healthpoints in the Healthy 365 app to redeem a discount of $1.

To earn Healthpoints, people can participate in healthy lifestyle programmes and challenges on the app, which was developed by the Health Promotion Board. Challenges include purchasing food and drinks with the Healthier Choice symbol, and meeting exercise and sleep goals.

3 arrested over fake bulk orders involving impersonation of SAF personnel

Three people have been arrested for their suspected involvement in fake bulk order scams involving impersonation of army personnel from the Singapore Armed Forces. The trio, aged between 16 and 31, were arrested during raids by officers from the Commercial Affairs Department’s Anti-scam Command and Central Police Division on Sept 15 and Sept 16.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the trio had allegedly acted on the instructions of a scam syndicate. At least five cases of such scams have been reported since Sept 4, with losses totalling at least $32,000, the police said.
