Singapore and India Share a Longstanding and Increasingly Close Partnership: PM Wong

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met with several Indian ministers ahead of the fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) in Singapore. These ministers included Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State Jitin Prasada.

In a social media post, PM Wong said that Singapore and India share a longstanding and increasingly close partnership, and that he wishes the ministers a productive visit and fruitful discussions at the ISMR.

He also said that he and the ministers had discussions over how Singapore and India can build on the good progress made through the ISMR, and how the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the nations can be taken further, specifically in manufacturing, digitalisation, sustainability, and connectivity.
