Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s 2026 National Day Rally speech will start at 6.45pm on Sunday Aug 23. He will begin by speaking in Malay, followed by Mandarin, and then deliver his speech in English at 8pm.
His speech will be delivered at ITE College Central in Ang Mo Kio.
It will be broadcast on local TV channels and radio stations, and streamed live on PM Wong’s and the Prime Minister’s Office’s YouTube channels.

The National Day Rally is a platform for the prime minister to address the nation, give a report card on the progress it has made, share important policy matters and highlight Singapore’s future challenges.
The Aug 23 event will be PM Wong’s third National Day Rally.
He will provide details on plans to help parents with the costs of raising children.
PM Wong had said in his National Day message on Aug 8 that the Government is taking a fresh look at access to affordable infant care and childcare, as well as conducting a major review of how families are supported in Singapore across various life stages.
In his 2025 National Day Rally speech, he called on Singaporeans to band together to write the next chapter of the nation’s story and outlined the Government’s plans to secure the Republic’s future in a changed world.
Harnessing innovation and technology would allow the country to sustainably raise its productivity and improve lives, he said, while also urging Singaporeans to dream bigger, be bolder in pushing new frontiers, and be ready to try new things. THE STRAITS TIMES
