It was a broadening of horizons for Grade 6 to 10 students at the Global Indian International School (GIIS) East Coast campus when they attended a lecture recently by Mr Sanyam Joshi, head of the economics section at the High Commission of India.

Focusing on the intricacies of economics and leadership, the talk was part of GIIS’ Leadership Lecture Series.

A panel of students questioned the guest speaker on various topics, including his sources of inspiration and most challenging experiences.

Mr Joshi emphasised the importance of reading for young students striving for excellence.

He passionately shared insights into how economics and healthy habits have helped him build a successful life.

Mr Joshi has significantly contributed to economics, shaping some of India’s policies.
