Global Indian International School (Kuala Lumpur) student Meenal Mech sang alongside Indian playback singer Javed Ali during a concert at a packed Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore on Oct 21.

She flaunted her vocals, shaped and polished under the aegis of the Global Schools Sheykhar Ravjiani School of Music (GSSRSOM) over the last three years.

“It was a great honour and a thrilling experience to perform with a singer of the stature of Javed Ali,” said Meenal, who was picked from among hundreds of hopefuls to be a part of GSSRSOM.

“And it is a double honour to be mentored by Sheykhar.”

The school uses data analytics to measure and track the progress of students and customises its curriculum to help them improve their style and technique.

Sheykhar said: “I am delighted to see Meenal’s growth under this programme. She has developed a finesse which is fit to be displayed on stage.

“I feel proud of her journey and I am keen to see many more such budding talents emerge from the Global Schools Sheykhar Ravjiani School of Music.”
