Ayodhya’s Deepotsav 2025 lit up history, as Uttar Pradesh set two Guinness World Records on Oct 19.
A staggering 2.61 million diyas illuminated 56 ghats along the Saryu River, while 2,128 priests performed aarti simultaneously – both feats verified by drone.
The dazzling spectacle also featured a drone show depicting scenes from the Ramayana, a laser display, and fireworks.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received the Guinness certificates, praising the devotion of 33,000 volunteers.
The event, now in its ninth year, was organised by the state’s tourism department and drew global artists for Ramlila performances, reinforcing Ayodhya’s stature as a spiritual and cultural beacon.
