Mr Manish Dhameja, a tech professional from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has achieved a Guinness World Record for holding 1,638 valid credit cards – all used smartly, not for debt but for rewards.

He treats credit cards as tools for earning, leveraging cashback, airmiles, and perks like free hotel stays, golf sessions, and movie tickets, all while remaining debt-free.

“I just love credit cards,” he said. “They give me complimentary travel, lounge access, and countless benefits.”

His disciplined approach even proved invaluable during India’s 2016 demonetisation, when he avoided cash shortages through digital spending.

With degrees in computer applications and social work, Mr Dhameja has turned being financial savvy into an art form.
