Celebrated designer Rahul Mishra brought the curtain down on the 19th edition of the Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 with a spectacular grand finale showcase, Devi: The Eternal Muse, in New Delhi on July 29.

Inspired by the Ajanta Caves and Karnataka’s Tarakeshwara Temple, the collection celebrated India’s architectural heritage and the enduring strength of the divine feminine.

Sculptural silhouettes, intricate hand embroidery, trompe-l’œil drapery, zardozi, dabka work, crystals and pearls transformed garments into wearable works of art that mimicked carved stone while remaining lightweight.

Traditional Indian artists performed live alongside models, adding to the immersive presentation.

Actress Sobhita Dhulipala closed the show as the showstopper.

Organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the couture week featured 13 of India’s leading designers.
