Kolkata witnessed a rare fusion of Italian Renaissance splendour and Indian craftsmanship on Nov 17, as designer Rohan Pariyar unveiled his haute couture collection “I Medici” at Victoria Memorial Hall.

Part of the Alta Moda Multi-Genre showcase, the event was organised by India’s Ministry of Culture and the Consulate General of Italy.

Staged in the Eastern Quadrangle, Una Serata Fiorentina brought together art, music, dance and fashion, celebrating the legacy of the Medici women and the Early Renaissance.

Branding and social media agency TACT crafted the visual world for the showcase, drawing from Florentine architecture and gilded detailing.

The evening marked a landmark Indo-Italian cultural collaboration.
