The four-time world champion arrived in strong form, securing pole position in Saturday’s qualifying session.
Red Bull gave him a car he could push to the limit through Marina Bay’s tight, wall-lined corners, where even the slightest mistake can prove costly.
Verstappen maintained his lead from the start, gradually pulling clear of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton despite pressure from the Ferrari pair.
Leclerc and Hamilton pushed hard in search of an opportunity to overtake, but Verstappen remained firmly in control. Leclerc eventually finished second.
The McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris also stayed within striking distance, keeping the pressure on the leaders.
Championship leader, Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli took the third spot, putting himself in contention for more valuable points towards his championship campaign.
He had started fourth on the grid.
Beyond the racing, the Singapore Grand Prix once again drew a star-studded crowd, among the 301,294 people who attended over the weekend.
Reality television star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian was spotted in the paddock supporting her boyfriend, seven-time world champion Hamilton, as he competed for Ferrari.
Her appearance added to the celebrity buzz surrounding the race weekend.
