There are some people who believe that tapioca pearls in boba tea look like frog eggs. But what if there is a tea drink that is topped with fish eggs instead?

Miss Teen Universe Singapore 2026 Riona Krishnan Dighe has collaborated with Origin Teahouse to create Riri’s Pink Crown, a fruity, pink tea that swaps tapioca pearls for 15-year-old Beluga Sturgeon caviar, one of Ms Riona’s favourite foods.

The drink is a vision in pink, filled with a base of rose, lychee, and strawberry and topped with rose petals, milk foam and the elusive caviar.

“Knowing Riona’s love for caviar and its rich Omega-3 properties, we wanted to create a drink that reflects her personality while drawing inspiration from our own signature seasonal offering,” said Mr Ethan Keng, owner of Origin Teahouse.

Rather than having any fishy, ocean flavour, the caviar pearls provide bits of saltiness to cut through the creamy sweetness, similar to the effect of flaky sea salt on top of brownies. The drink itself is refreshing and balanced in its sweetness, tasting like a zesty bandung.

The collaboration is also in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Ms Riona’s campaign for the same, Project Pink. 10 per cent of the proceeds from every purchase of Riri’s Pink Crown, which is priced at S$12.90, will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore.

“I have always been passionate about helping others, raising money for charity. It’s something I’ve been doing since I was literally four years old. I’ve travelled to Bhutan, India, and I’ve created libraries and village schools.

“So essentially, just helping has always been part of me. So with this title, I’ve been using it to create a larger impact,” said Ms Riona, 18.

She also wanted to choose tea for the collaboration as she herself loves the drink and because it represents local culture.

“Well, I am Miss Teen Universe Singapore. And Singaporeans do love their teas,” she said.

Riri’s Pink Crown is sold until Oct 31 at Origin Teahouse, located in TANGS Plaza, Orchard.
