Veteran Director Bharathiraja Stable, Under Critical Care

Celebrated filmmaker Bharathiraja remains in stable condition while undergoing treatment for a severe lung infection at a Chennai hospital, doctors confirmed.

The 84-year-old is receiving intensive care and close monitoring. Several leading Tamil filmmakers visited him to wish a speedy recovery.

Bharathiraja has faced health challenges since the death of his son Manoj in 2025.
