Tamil actor and politician S Srinivasan, popularly known as Powerstar, was arrested by Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing in Chennai on July 27 for allegedly cheating a company of Rs5 crore (S$730,000). He had promised to arrange a Rs1,000 crore loan, which never materialised.
The 64-year-old, known for his eccentric on-screen persona, faces multiple fraud cases.
