Actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam described Tamil icons Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth as “brothers” during the SIIMA 2025 event in Dubai, noting how they check on each other’s well-being.
Suhasini, who is Kamal’s niece, noted that Kamal and Rajinikanth have a relationship that dates back several years. “So they are actually like brothers,” she said.
She also revealed that they check up on each other: “Sometimes, if he (Kamal) ever gets into an accident while shooting, Rajini sir will call me and say, is Kamal hurting?” If I say yes, he replies, if Kamal says it hurts, it really must be hurting because he never complains. They are very close like that.”
Kamal and Rajinikanth are set to reunite onscreen after 46 years, in a rumoured Lokesh Kanagaraj film, fuelling major excitement among fans.
