Priyanka Chopra has opened up about her early struggles in Bollywood, calling her initial years as an “outsider” a period of feeling “really lost”.
Speaking to the Press Trust of India, she said her journey without industry connections shaped her current sensibilities as a producer.
Priyanka’s latest production, Born Hungry, now streaming on JioHotstar, chronicles the life of celebrity chef Sash Simpson – from being abandoned as a child in India to becoming a renowned chef in Canada.
Priyanka said her empathy-driven choices as a producer come from her own experience of navigating the film world without support.
Under her banner, Purple Pebble Pictures, she continues to champion underrepresented stories and first-time filmmakers.
