Director Mysskin (left) has hailed debut filmmaker Varsha Bharath (right) as a “diamond” capable of winning Tamil cinema’s first Oscar.
At the press meet for her film Bad Girl, he praised her honest storytelling, close-up-driven visuals, and courage to challenge societal norms about women.
Despite censorship hurdles and criticism, Mysskin lauded her perspective and predicted national recognition. Bad Girl is based on a young girl’s struggles with social rules.
