Late Tamil legend MR Radha’s 1954 classic Ratha Kanneer has been inducted into the National Film Archive of India’s (NFAI) collection, paving the way for preservation and restoration.
Donated by Aparna Subramaniam of The Film and Television Institute of India, the rare 35mm print is among the last surviving copies.
NFAI chief Prakash Magdum stressed the urgency of safeguarding such cinematic heritage.
