Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur recalled how legendary actor Dev Anand (left) lost all his money after self-funding his ambitious film Ishk Ishk Ishk, which flopped on release.
Speaking on Filmfare’s YouTube channel, Shekhar, who is Dev’s nephew, said the thespian realised the loss within minutes at the premiere but quickly bounced back, immediately discussing a new project.
Shekhar praised Dev’s resilience, calling it a lesson in moving forward without dwelling on setbacks, a trait that inspired his own filmmaking approach.
