Veteran Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil on Sunday clarified that he is “not in jail”, after a Mumbai court sentenced him to two months’ jail for a 2018 accident.
The court said the medical officer’s evidence showed the actor was drink driving.
“This is a classic case of biased and misleading information. I am not in jail,” Dalip wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of himself.
“I respect the judge and the decisions taken in the magistrate’s court, but we are challenging the verdict. It was a suspended sentence and most importantly, I would like to say there were only minor injuries in the incident.”
