Actor Arshad Warsi has spoken about the early worries his wife Maria Goretti’s Catholic parents had over their interfaith marriage, describing himself then as a “jobless Muslim boy”.
In a recent interview, Warsi said those concerns gradually turned into acceptance and affection. The couple, married since 1996, now share a close bond with Maria’s parents.
