Rani Mukerji revealed at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne last week that in 2020 she was pregnant for a second time but lost her baby after five months.
“Maybe this is the first time I am making this revelation because in today’s world, every aspect of your life is discussed publicly... to get more eyeballs,” she said.
“ I didn’t speak about this when I was promoting the film (Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway) because it would have come across as me trying to speak about a personal experience that would propel the film.”
Rani has a daughter with director-producer Aditya Chopra, whom she married in 2014.
