Sid Sriram’s new single, Sol, is a genre-defying masterpiece that seamlessly fuses classical music with elements of soul, R&B, and indie influences. The introspective yet joyful track, which Sid describes as a sonic exploration of love, was born during a period of reflection in his hometown of Fremont, California, a place he said gives him the space to slow down and create. The song took nearly a year to reach its final form.
The music video features Paris-based Tamil dancer Usha Jey, who, alongside her crew, delivered a fusion of contemporary and classical bharatanatyam choreography. Since its release, Sol has become the soundtrack to countless joyful moments shared on social media reels. The track has also inspired a wave of dancers to craft their own choreography.
