WATCH: Bison Kaalamaadan
In a departure from the usual rom-coms and light-hearted fare, Bison Kaalamaadan offers a gritty, emotionally charged sports drama that also digs deep into social realities. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the Tamil film stars Dhruv Vikram as ‘Kittan’, a young man from a marginalised background who dreams of playing kabaddi and subverting oppression.
Anupama Parameswaran adds warmth and grounding to his journey, alongside strong performances from Kalaiyarasan, Pasupathy, and Lal. Set in the 1990s amid caste tensions and stark community divides, the film uses the kabaddi court as a powerful metaphor for defiance and survival.
