For the diplomatic officers stationed away from home, standing together during National Day celebrations holds a special meaning. “It is always heartwarming to sing the National Anthem and recite the Pledge with fellow Singaporeans in our home away from home. One can also hear the Singlish and spot a Singaporean from a mile away!”
