Students of the Global Indian International School (GIIS) SMART Campus have once again proven their academic mettle on the world stage.
In the recently announced International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results for the May 2025 session, the school reported a record-breaking performance, with 15 students emerging as World Toppers and Near-Perfect Scorers.
Three students – Jitisha Arora, Bhakti Birla, and Bharunishree Manikandan – achieved the rare feat of scoring a perfect 45 out of 45 points, placing them among the highest achievers worldwide and earning them the title of IB World Toppers.
Twelve other students followed closely behind, scoring 44 points, while nine scored 43, underlining the consistency of academic excellence across the cohort.
The school’s average score stood at an impressive 37.2 – significantly higher than the global IB average of 30.5 – with over 36 per cent of students scoring 40 points and above, and 70 per cent attaining 35 points or more.
GIIS SMART Campus Senior Principal Melissa Maria praised the students for their discipline, resilience, and commitment.
“These results reflect not only the perseverance and passion of our students but also the unwavering support of our dedicated faculty and engaged parent community,” she said.
The school also reported strong outcomes in core components of the IB curriculum.
Students averaged 5.8 out of 7 across all subjects. In the core elements – Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE) and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) – the cohort achieved an average of 2.6 out of 3.
Notably, 47 per cent of students scored an A in the Extended Essay, while 45 per cent secured an A in TOK, demonstrating excellence in independent research, analysis and critical thinking.
Mr Atul Temurnikar, chairman and co-founder of Global Schools Group (GSG), which runs GIIS, congratulated the Class of 2025.
