Here’s what to look out for at the Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) this September!
Located at 5 Campbell Lane, the IHC is home to artefacts and exhibitions that illustrate the story of the Indian community in Singapore. Now you can experience a part of the story for yourself with an immersive 180 degree virtual reality (VR) experience of Indian classical dances. Presented by Avventura in collaboration with Singapore’s leading dance companies, the VR experience will be on view in the IHC’s permanent gallery until Sept 21.
To mark the centre’s 10th anniversary, a new series of talks titled “In-Gallery Conversations” will be launched. This month’s featured artist is Yip Yew Chong. He will share his insights into his painting of the Theemithi (Firewalking) Festival, on display as part of the IHC’s Gallery Rotation with 60 new artefacts. The 45-minute sessions will take place on Saturdays, Sept 6 and 13.
