Designed as an engaging and practical learning experience, the programme focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of savings, budgeting, and foundational investment principles.

Adding a unique dimension to the programme, the day also included a special capsule on investing in personal health.

Participants were introduced to Sattu, a traditional Indian vegetable-based protein known for its nutritional value and affordability. This segment reinforced the broader message that financial well-being is closely linked with physical health and sustainable lifestyle choices.

The presence of both the chairman Sanjay Gattani and vice-chairman Kushal Jaju highlighted the significance of the initiative within the Chapter’s broader Social Causes agenda. Their participation reaffirmed the leadership’s commitment to driving meaningful impact and strengthening the Chapter’s role within Singapore’s social and cultural fabric.

The event was graced by Reverand Samuel Stephen, who addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. He is the founder and lead director of Alliance for Guest Workers Outreach (AGWO), an organisation that champions the welfare of guest workers in Singapore, and also serves as the vice president of Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA).

He emphasised the importance of financial prudence, consistent saving habits, and responsible money management, particularly for migrant workers striving to support their families.

The ICAI Singapore Chapter has been consistently organising financial literacy programmes over the past three years, reflecting a sustained focus on community outreach.

This noble initiative, which began in 2024, has also received encouragement and blessings from the Indian High Commission in Singapore, further reinforcing its relevance and impact.

The current managing committee assumed office following the Annual General Meeting held in the last week of March 2026. This programme marks one of the early initiatives under the new leadership, setting a strong tone for the year ahead in terms of social responsibility and community engagement.
