Indian national Muruganathan Kathirvel, 25, was charged on Monday (Aug 31) of causing causing the death of Raj Maheshkumar, 29, by slashing his neck area with a chopper at about 10pm on Aug 29 along Tuas South Avenue 9.

In their statement on Sunday, the police had said that the accused and his victim were known to each other.
